My name is Sherrie , I am a wife, mother and Nana. I have been married to my husband for 32 years. We have two beautiful children and 5 "PERFECT" grandchildren. I started in the photography business 23 years ago. I am a member of the Arkansas PPA, Ark-La-Tex PPA, Texas PPA, and the APPA. I served on the board for the ArkLaTex PPA Guild this for 2 years.
Photography is my passion... I had worked doing free lance photography for the better part of 15 years before opening my studio in June of 2000. My business has grown and changed with new technology. I left behind the 35mm and moved into digital photography in Jan, 2006. I have had many accomplishments which I am very proud of. My most recent would be earning my very 2 more "MERIT PRINT AWARDS" in November.
I actively work with non-profit organization so that I may give back a portion of what God has so richly blessed me with. One of the organizations I am so proud to be a part of is "Operation Love Reunited" . This program works with military families to provide free photo sessions either at the time a loved one is being deployed or after they return from a long deployment. These pictures require the military person to wear or have something pretaining to the military in the actual photos (in uniform or a child wearing dads fatigues or military issue hat, boots, flags...ect.) the family is then provided with at least 12 proofs from their session. This has been very fulfilling for me as my Son-in-law has been serving the US Navy for 15+ years. I know and understand the sacrifices these families make and even with the small part I play in all of this, I still don't feel like it's enough...
